How serendipity, errors, and exaptation can be used to create life changing inventions and procedures

Hello professor and class. I believe a lot of inventions we have now are from accidents and moments of serendipity. A serendipity example would be like how Thomas Edison discovered zinc is used to power light bulbs efficiently. Thomas Edison used thousands of experiments which caused him to have a eureka moment after constant failure which he discovered that a little piece of zinc can power a light bulb for months even years. An error that brought about a great change and innovation is the discovery of penicillin. Alexander Fleming was working in a lab when he discovered a mold could be used to kill staphylococcus bacteria after leaving the mold in a lab dish over a holiday break and discovering it killed all the bacteria in the dish being observed. Doctor Alexander Fleming and his associates created the first antibiotic which revolutionized the medical industry and how health care providers treat germs. An exaptation that I am currently working on is to use artificial intelligence to conduct cyber security analysis and analyze user behavior to point out how the technology can be used to prevent, stop, or mitigate cyber crime while using a portable software device like a thumb drive on the system. Artificial intelligence was originally created to mock the human brain and be an amusement or entertainment and is often shown in movies throughout the 20th century. The exaptation of artificial intelligence is to help people become better at multi tasking by allowing some work to be completed by a machine so that the cyber security professional does not get overwhelmed with problems while servicing a information system. Serendipity in my studies included the discovery that artificial intelligence can autonomously scan large network devices and large storage devices and I realized this solution can be applied to portable universal serial bus storage devices as well. An error is a mistake where it can lead to new findings, like for example how Christopher Columbus though he was in India and was not aware that the continent North America existed. Thus that's why he named the indigenous natives the name Indian people. Later in history this explorer is credited for discovering America for European settlers. Exaptation is using a feature of a particular invention to perform a new task. A simple example is one might use a bottle of water to hydrate themselves and later use it to dampen a cloth to clean their state of the art dusty computer screen.
