It is now a federal crime to anonymously annoy someone Part II - Andy noticed that I posted the FAQ on the Annoy law but not the original article from Declan McCullagh. How does such a poorly written law get passed? By slipping the language into a larger bill! Many legislators fail to read bills prior to voting and that is an abrogation of responsibility. The “Read the Bills Act” (RTBA) would require legislators to read bills prior to voting and that is a good idea.
